With the start of this new year, I am praying for many blessings and favor from God in all of your endeavors in 2013. I pray that you have good health, strong relationships and full reliance on His love, grace and mercy. 2012 has been rocky for many and we still aren’t sure what lies ahead for 2013, but with trust in God and action on our part, we will continue to do everything we can to make a difference in our state and our nation. It doesn’t take special talents or an expensive education to make a difference.
It simply takes determination, research, and a willingness to speak up!
Just four years ago I wasn’t even attending church and while I was interested in politics, I was not involved in politics. Have you seen what God has done with me? I started asking God what He wanted me to do. Where could I make a difference? And you know what?
HE ANSWERED ME!!
I started teaching the Constitution – to teach it, I had to study it. I didn’t stop there with asking what I could do. The next project He gave me was to hold an Arkansas Day of Prayer. He put the right people in my life to make it happen, and this year we held the second annual Arkansas Day of Prayer. Both were awesome events! I can’t wait to begin planning the event for 2013!
I have to confess, I felt so unqualified for each task that God set before me. I even recall questioning Him – asking Him “are you sure you want ME to do that?”
But, I have learned that God doesn’t always choose the “most likely” to carry out His plans. I am total proof of that!
You have been with me along this journey, attended the events, attended my classes, or even attended my Life Group. You have also been on your own journey.
Thank you for joining me on this journey!
I have so many ideas floating around in my head for 2013. I will be praying hard for God to choose just the right ones that will make the most impact!
I pray for a blessed 2013 for all of you! Oh, I included a little something for your daily history lesson. Read below just how much our Founding Fathers believed in and relied on our Almighty God!!
Here’s to 2013!
