We can’t go back to normal

New Beginnings - April 18, 2020

Saturday, I started a new journal. It is always fun to begin a new chapter.
 
I started this new journal the way I have started most of my journals for the past few years, writing out my vision for my ideal day. The day I want to repeat at least 5 days a week.
 
This has become a beautiful practice of mine and even more sweet, when I see the pieces come together to form that ideal vision in real life.
 
Saturday, is also the day that I gather (usually in person) with my beautiful team of intercessors for our church.
 
I spend time in worship and reflection before asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to me what we need to be praying for over this coming week.
This is what I recorded in my journal…
 
“New! Just like you began this journal with the words New Beginnings – be praying for the Church to step into the New Beginnings I have planned for them.
 
“While most of the world will go back to normal when these restrictions are lifted, the Church cannot! It is time to step up your game!
 
 
“Walk into this fresh start with new boldness – new revelation – new hearts open to daily supernatural moves of God!
 
“I will be moving quickly! Don’t resist Me.

“Be open to the great shifts from what you were focused on before the church buildings were closed.
 
“When you step back into your church buildings, don’t forget about the impact you had while the doors were closed.
 
“Adjust to keep those new watchers engaged. They found your church online during crisis. Help lead them to remain with Me in the calm.
 
“Disciple them. Love them. They are My beloved, too.”
New Beginnings

Then my friend Steve shared that he had heard something very similar. He heard that a new normal is coming. A new way that God is operating. We need to be praying more of what the Lord wants us to pray.

“I will speak to you more. Are you listening?”
